Toon shaders!
Hi there! It’s been a while since I last wrote a dev log. Gradually, I've noticed that written dev logs aren't used much anymore.
From my research on successful Filipino indie game studios like Spacezero Interactive and Solitary Studios, it seems they've moved away from writing dev logs as well.
But here I am, writing again. Just finished my third bottle of Cerveza Negra—yeah, dark beer, my go-to stress reliever after a long day. Not that I’m addicted! It’s just my little escape, especially when my wife is still buried in work at the office, even at 10 PM. So, what’s a guy to do but write, right? 😂
In this update, we've added toon shaders because they’re trendy and, honestly, they look cuter. We've also enhanced the effects on tagging and introduced a new punch animation.
We've been swamped with client work. Yes, you heard it right; working on Langit Lupa only happens in our free time. Currently, we’re juggling four clients, creating games, VR apps, etc. Our pace is pretty relaxed, but we always make sure to have some output every week. Seriously, I love this game! It’s the only game we develop that’s just so much fun to test.
Still, I’m struggling to figure out what elements to add to make it more replayable.
Anyway, my thoughts might be a bit scattered, likely because of the three beers. 😂 Ciao! And if you’ve made it this far, thanks for reading!
