Game Dev Log #3 – Langit Lupa - Throwable Furnitures!!


Hey there! It's great to be back.

This time, we've leveled up our game by adding furniture, about 10 pieces to be exact. I'm still figuring out the best way to code this. To play it safe, we're starting with just a few items, just in case we need to make big changes - it won't be too painful to start over.

We've also introduced name tags now. This helps us identify who's who in the game. My team went all out with creativity, choosing names like CEO, Mark_Zuckerberg, Manager, and Sexytary (yep, you read that right).

And guess what? Albert, our fourth developer, joined us for testing this time. Things got wild when we discovered we could grab and throw furniture at each other. We couldn't stop laughing!

But then, the bugs made their grand entrance. At the end of the video, you can see my character unexpectedly floating off to outer space. It's probably an issue with the collider, either from the furniture or the tag indicator (that red ball).

Speaking of the red ball, it's a new feature we added. Whoever has the red ball is "it." However, it turned out to be quite sensitive, so we decided to introduce a keypress feature to tag in the next update.

From this video onwards, Rudy's taking over the editing. He's incredibly talented, both in editing and adding a touch of humor.
